Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

Cameron Highlands is a highland region 214 km north of Kuala Lumpur, in Pahang, Malaysia. At 5,000 ft (1,500 m) above sea level it is the highest area on the mainland, enjoys a cool climate, with temperatures no higher than 25 °C and rarely falls below 12°C year-round.

Myself, my wife, my daughter, Srikanth, Prem - we started on 4th july 2009 morning at 7.30pm from menara pelangi.Went to Vigneshwar Temple and then Amman temple.we packed our breakfast. In one hours time my daughter puked. we later halted, had our breakfast and Srikanth drove at his maximum speed and then we stopped at a location - attracted by natures appearance , took some snaps and continued the journey.
After we reached the foot of the highlands, my daughter puked again and this continued for another two times and wife joined her for two more times.
In the mid just 35kms away from the highland, we had a stop at a water falls (lata Iskandar) a beautiful falls and we had some photo sessions{we captured mostly the nature than our own faces}. we had some local snacks (pisang goreng) and continued our journey.

we reached the top and we were tired by then, looking for some hotels (since we didnot have any reservations made, we didnot get any rooms from 5 stars to 4 Stars), after we directly went to Tudor Home Inn and took two rooms. first we checked in and later Srikanth and Prem checked in. we had a corner room and the window view was pleasant.
after a slight refreshment, we had our Lunch in an Indian Restaurant (jasmine).
we then went to strawberry farm, we had a good look at how strawberries are grown and preserved and we now know how to eat them in a perfect way (HONEY, SUGAR, STRAWBERRIES, CREAM, ICE CREAM , CHOCOLATE topping), also the farm had a lot of flower collections we again jumped in capturing them.

we then went in search of a rose garden and bee farm, unfortunately we cun't find them and we almost went 10kms away from the highland towards Ipoh. we spent some time in a pasar and on our way back we visited cactus point and did a good photo session with a variety of flowers.

it was 7 pm then and we decided to go have some dinner.
the way towards our hotel was jam (traffic jam is common in a highland too); Srikanth used all his Indian way of driving skills to cut the long lane; we had dinner in an Indian restaurant (Sentosa) and went to our beds.
The night it was raining and room was pretty cold, so we have to literally cover from head to toe.
rain went on till early morning 5th july 2009. morning at 8 am we snaped some pictures from our window with clouds and then without clods and they were astonishing.

we gave a wakeup call for srikanth, prem and then we had breakfast, went direct to to "Rose Garden"; parked car long way off the rose garden entrance and we took a walk; on the way we discovered Cabbage, cauliflower, Cucumber farms - also we now know from where TESCO, GIANT get their fresh vegetables.

we went to rose gardens and we literally explored all the levels of the garden. the highest point we reached is approx.2500m high and with a beautiful view of the whole valley we had a fresh breeze ; as well the humidity was almost less than 20 or so.

we had a great time being very close to nature. we came down to our car at about 2pm.
then we directly packed some food and shooted back to KL. my daughter slept the whole journey and my wife puked for a while and then she slept off.
Srikanth drove more than 160kms/hr and in 2hrs time and were in KL.
A Nice escape from a concrete jungle to green.

CARE.. has to start somewhere

This month in midst of mundane tasks there was lots of minor CHARITY work going on.

Incident 1: one of my ex-colleague was in deep trouble and did not have money to pay for her kids hospital bill too, an immediate action of mine in clearing hospital bills gave some relief and happiness to her at that moment. But finding her a decent job might be one of the solutions.

Incident 2:we selected colleagues came together and helped our colleague financially who was in real need of it. After giving him the money the person was filled with joy and had no words to speak and i have no more words to explain the situation.

Incident 3:Very next moment, we came to know that one of our colleague's dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, and again immediately we collected some decent money and handed it to the person and again the same situation and this time the person and people surrounded cannot control their emotion.

This month(at the mid of the month still) is a very fruitful and satisfactory.

generally we donate money, food, clothes and other items for someone or other at all times. But the satisfaction in helping a person whom you know, when they are in real need of it and being present at that moment to see a flash of light and hope in their face... thats the moment to capture for LIFE.

Share your money, ideas, fun when you can for you may not know when you are at the receiving end.By doing this, someone somewhere for sure might be touched by it and they will remember you and your help for Life.

I feel everybody have to enjoy the feeling of sharing.. its has no words to explain but you have to experience it... just help when someone is in need of it.

Tech. Based Learning Strategy
May 11, Monday. 8.30am to 4.30pm
(maytbl.wetpaint.com)

I have done more than 5000hours of software training till now on software mostly in the arena of Human Capital Development.

This is my first Public speaking session and a workshop.

As we know on an average an adult classroom attention span is 20mins ; so myself and my co-facilitator Mr Murali have taken steps to make the session interesting, interactive and fun by involving hands-on tasks so that the participants are not lost in the flood of content.

There were more than 20 participants and couple of the participants were IT savvy but not all. so, here is out first challenge. whatever we talk have to be Plain English and have to avoid a lot of technical jargons (it is very difficult for a person who has been only speaking Italian for 15 years and now suddenly he was asked to speak Japanese) to avoid any confusion and to make sure what we are trying to put forward the message.

we had a strategy "yarn busters" - by introducing fun filed content video clips {ofcourse taken from youtube}

Our moderator Mr Rizal has played a great role whenever we were using more technical terms and also in group discussions.

The whole session went well and all the participants were happy and we received highest rating from all the other 9 concurrent sessions on that pre-conference day.
